I ran the wires through the console to the stereo (pulled HVAC, RNS-e, Ashtray, and the piece under the parking break. I actually didn't realize it was completely flush and have gone back to correct it, but ended up scratching the visible part of the housing a little bit, should have left it how it was instead of sloppily trying to perfect it without the right bit. I drilled out the space until I could get the threads through, then tightened it from the back. I went ahead and I purchased some decent wire, a 12v to dual usb converter (1amp and 2.1amp, which provides iPhone charger and iPad charger charging speeds), a USB & Aux panel mount, an old airport express and an some miscellaneous pieces (like RCA to Aux).įirst I pulled my cig lighter housing from under the centre armrest, and measured a centre point for the space I wanted to mount the USB and aux panel. I wanted to add audio inputs and fast charging USB ports to my B7 A4, which has an RNS-e.
